L.A. prosecutors fault Long Beach police officer’s tactics in deadly shooting

The Los Angeles County dis­trict at­tor­ney’s of­fice sharply cri­ti­cized the ac­tions of Long Beach Po­lice Of­ficer Jef­frey Mey­er lead­ing up to the killing of an un­armed man last year, but pro­sec­utors de­cided there was in­suf­fi­cient evid­ence of crim­in­al con­duct to file charges against the of­ficer.
