Bustamante Attorney General letter

A group of about a dozen women, including representatives from the Orange County Employees Assn. and the California National Organization for Women called on the State Attorney General to conduct an independent investigation into what they claim is the county’s failure to protect employees in the wake of the Carlos Bustamante sex scandal.

A letter sent to Atty. Gen. Kamala Harris Tuesday referenced previous allegations made by a county executive that charges have been brought against Bustamante as political retribution for actions that the county took in removing the public guardian.
