Brown denies parole for Manson Family member

Gov. Jerry Brown on Friday denied parole a second time for Charles Manson follower Bruce Davis. A state parole board in March deemed Davis, 71, suitable for release from his life sentence. Brown disagreed, saying Davis “continues to paint himself as a passive bystander” in the killings that occurred 45 years ago.
