Brown’s amended sentencing initiative
Gov. Jerry Brown on Wednesday said he backed an amended ballot initiative that would ask voters to give parole boards authority to release prison inmates ahead of their court-ordered sentences. The amended initiative was filed Tuesday with the Attorney General’s office.
