CBO 2014 outlook

The fed­er­al de­fi­cit con­tin­ues its slide — to a lower than ex­pec­ted $514 bil­lion for 2014, the non­par­tis­an budget of­fice re­por­ted Tues­day — but the na­tion’s still slug­gish eco­nomy poses more long-term budget chal­lenges for Con­gress.
