Judge strikes down Indiana’s ban on gay marriage

A fed­er­al judge today struck down In­di­ana’s ban on gay mar­riage, say­ing the ban vi­ol­ates the U.S. Con­sti­tu­tion’s equal-pro­tec­tion clause.

The In­di­ana at­tor­ney gen­er­al’s of­fice says it will ap­peal the rul­ing by U.S. Dis­trict Judge Richard Young.
