Read the letter that the L.A. Sheriff’s Department sent 300 deputies with histories of misconduct

The Sheriff’s Department sent letters to about 300 deputies warning them that their personnel files contained evidence of “moral turpitude” and that their names were on a list that would be provided to the district attorney’s office. The union that represents rank-and-file deputies has gone to court to block the department from taking action.
