Latin Newsmen, Police Chief Eat … Fail to Meet
This March 13, 1970 column by Salazar angered then-LAPD Chief Ed Davis, who accused Salazar of fabricating information from an off-the-record event. The column also appears to have prompted the LAPD to open a file on Salazar.
