The Cali­for­nia State Aud­it­or re­leased se­lec­ted emails Wed­nes­day that of­fi­cials said show the Uni­versity of Cali­for­nia Of­fice of the Pres­id­ent “in­terfered” in fin­an­cial ef­fi­ciency sur­veys of cam­puses taken by aud­it­ors. Aud­it­ors said UC ad­min­is­trat­ors screened cam­puses’ re­sponses, which res­ul­ted in sev­er­al cam­puses chan­ging their re­sponses to re­flect more pos­it­ive opin­ions of the Of­fice of the Pres­id­ent.
