    UC-Irvine renal dialysis inspection

    Reg­u­lat­ors found nu­mer­ous prob­lems at UC Irvine’s dia­lys­is cen­ter dur­ing a sur­prise in­spec­tion in Novem­ber that un­covered rusty equip­ment and un­san­it­ary con­di­tions, ac­cord­ing to let­ters and a re­port ob­tained by The Times on Monday. The find­ings have put the cen­ter, which re­mains open, at risk to lose fed­er­al fund­ing.
