Sex assault suit filed against American Apparel CEO

Dov Char­ney, Amer­ic­an Ap­par­el Inc.’s em­battled chief ex­ec­ut­ive, has been sued by a former em­ploy­ee who says he sexu­ally as­saul­ted her “dur­ing what she be­lieved to be a hir­ing in­ter­view” at his home.

Char­ney de­clined to com­ment on the suit filed by Kim­bra Lo in L.A. County Su­per­i­or Court on Wed­nes­day. The com­plaint marks the second suit filed this month ac­cus­ing him of sexu­al as­sault. Read the full story »
