Janu­ary 22, 1973, was a busy news day. Former Pres­id­ent Lyn­don B. John­son died that af­ter­noon at his ranch in John­son City, Texas. Earli­er, the Su­preme Court ruled in Roe vs. Wade that wo­men had a con­sti­tu­tion­al right to an abor­tion.
