An ongoing audit of a Los Angeles County foster care agency has uncovered more evidence that its leaders misdirected taxpayer money for personal gain.

Askari Moyenda and Niki Milani said they paid tens of thousands of dollars to obtain two top taxpayer-funded jobs at Teens Happy Homes, a foster care contractor in Los Angeles County. Under the terms of the agreement, the couple said they paid $70,000 and agreed to follow with monthly payments until the $139,000 deal was paid off.
