Apple accused of fraud by China’s Proview in iPad dispute
China’s Proview Technologies has sued Apple Inc. in the U.S. for allegedly asking hired lawyers to form a company in London with the sole purpose of purchasing the trademark for the “iPad” for Apple in 2009.
Proview says in the complaint that the company, IP Application Development, never told it that it was acting on Apple’s behald or that it wanted the iPad trademark as the product name for a new tablet computer.
