Criminal complaint against Robert Durst in Susan Berman slaying

The Los Angeles County dis­trict at­tor­ney’s of­fice has charged real es­tate scion Robert Durst in the 2000 slay­ing of crime writer Susan Ber­man. Durst has also been linked to his wife’s dis­ap­pear­ance and the grisly death of a neigh­bor in Texas. Pro­sec­utors now are ac­cus­ing Durst of ly­ing in wait and killing a wit­ness. Shortly be­fore Ber­man died, New York au­thor­it­ies were plan­ning to in­ter­view her about the 1982 dis­ap­pear­ance of Durst’s first wife, Kath­er­ine.
