Criminal Complaint against Texas man who aided friend in joining Islamic State

Ash­er Abid Khan, 20, of Spring, Texas, has been charged with at­tempt­ing to provide sup­port to Is­lam­ic State after he al­legedly helped a friend travel to Syr­ia in or­der to join the ter­ror­ist or­gan­iz­a­tion. Khan also at­temp­ted to travel to Syr­ia but was de­ceived in­to re­turn­ing to Texas by his fam­ily.
