On Sept. 27, 1955, The Times re­por­ted that sing­er Ed­die Fish­er and act­ress Debbie Reyn­olds had mar­ried in a Cat­skills re­sort.

On Dec. 5, 1958, The Times re­por­ted that Debbie Reyn­olds took her first of­fi­cial step to­ward di­vorce from Ed­die Fish­er with a cruelty com­plaint that did not even hint that there was such a per­son as Eliza­beth Taylor.
