Donald Sterling asks appeals court to stay case involving Clippers

Don­ald Ster­ling pe­ti­tioned an ap­peals court Fri­day to stay the pro­bate court case that could de­term­ine the own­er of the Clip­pers. He also sought a writ of man­date to over­turn an un­usu­al por­tion of a judge’s rul­ing last month that al­lowed the fran­chise’s sale to pro­ceed re­gard­less of any ap­peal.
