FBI monitors activists after Salazar dies
This intelligence memo, filed by FBI officials from El Paso, was one of several such reports that were generated in cities such as Los Angeles and Denver in the aftermath of the newsman’s killing. Records show that authorities were concerned that violence would breakout at vigils commemorating Salazar’s slaying. The El Paso event, like others, turned out to be a peaceful protest.
