Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ letters of resignation 

Rep. Gab­ri­elle Gif­fords was shot in the head a year ago by a gun­man who opened fire while she was meet­ing with con­stitu­ents out­side a Tuc­son gro­cery store. Gif­fords sub­mit­ted her resig­na­tion Wed­nes­day, clos­ing out her five years in the House of Rep­res­ent­at­ives.
