Gov. Jerry Brown’s 2015-16 budget summary

Gov. Jerry Brown re­leased his $164.7-bil­lion budget pro­pos­al on Fri­day morn­ing in the Cap­it­ol.

Once again, Brown called for fisc­al re­straint, warn­ing that even with a re­bound­ing eco­nomy and bal­anced budget the state faces bil­lions of dol­lars in li­ab­il­it­ies, in­clud­ing the costs of state re­tir­ee health­care.
