Chapter 11 trustee report on Bergstein companies
This 400-plus page report was prepared by a forensic accountant appointed as a trustee by United States Bankruptcy Court to examine five companies controlled by troubled film financier David Bergstein. The report alleges that Bergstein’s business partner Ron Tutor, the chief executive of contruction giant Tutor-Saliba Corp. and an owner of Miramax Films, falsely claimed to have separated from the bankrupt firms in early 2009.
It also alleges that thousands of documents were deleted and that Bergstein and Tutor have denied the trustee access to files that he sought. Read more »
