Judge finds probable cause to charge officer who shot Tamir Rice
A Cleveland municipal judge ruled there is probable cause to charge the police officer who shot and killed 12-year-old Tamir Rice with murder. While the ruling was lauded by activists in the city, it will likely have little impact on the decision to prosecute Officer Timothy Loehmann, experts have said. The case, which is being reviewed by the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, will still be presented to a grand jury.
