Lee Baca has asked a federal judge to spare him prison time
A lawyer for retired Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca acknowledged that the lawman had failed the Sheriff’s Department but urged a judge not to overlook his 50 years of service to the community and to take into account his diagnosis of early Alzheimer’s disease.
