Man arrested at LAX for transporting hazardous materials

A man who ar­rived in Los Angeles on a flight from Ja­pan wear­ing a bul­let­proof vest and flame re­tard­ant pants un­der­neath his trench coat has been charged with trans­port­ing dan­ger­ous ma­ter­i­als, fed­er­al au­thor­it­ies said Tues­day.
