Maria Shriver’s divorce petition

Maria Shriver filed di­vorce pa­pers Fri­day, cit­ing “ir­re­con­cil­able dif­fer­ences” with former Gov. Arnold Schwar­zeneg­ger and re­quest­ing joint cus­tody of their two teen­age sons. The couple, who mar­ried 25 years ago, an­nounced their split in May. Schwar­zeneg­ger later ac­know­ledged he fathered a child more than a dec­ade ago with their long­time house­keep­er.
