Michael Curtiz, film director, dies

On April 12, 1962, The Times re­por­ted that Mi­chael Curtiz, le­gendary film dir­ect­or and col­or­ful fig­ure in Hol­ly­wood, died of can­cer at his home in Sher­man Oaks. He was 62
