National Iranian American Council response to UMass

In early Feb­ru­ary, the Uni­versity of Mas­sachu­setts at Am­h­erst banned new Ir­a­ni­an na­tion­als from ad­mis­sion to some en­gin­eer­ing and sci­ence pro­grams. In a let­ter to the school, the Na­tion­al Ir­a­ni­an Amer­ic­an Coun­cil says the new policy is “harm­ful, dis­crim­in­at­ory, and un­ne­ces­sary.”
