Read Dep. Peterson’s court declaration and arrest report

L.A. County Sher­iff’s Deputy James Peterson wrote this sworn de­clar­a­tion and ar­rest re­port in the case of two men he ar­res­ted for drug traf­fick­ing and gun pos­ses­sion. In the ar­rest re­port, Peterson claimed he stopped the men for speed­ing at 78 miles per hour and drift­ing between lanes. A judge found the evid­ence did not sup­port the deputy’s claims and ruled the stop was im­prop­er.
