A lawsuit filed on June 6, 2017 by a former high-ranking Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department official says he was pressured to take an early retirement after he reported alleged criminal misconduct by various department officials including Sheriff Jim McDonnell. The suit, filed as John Doe vs. County of Los Angeles, was filed by Todd Rogers, whose name appears on a cover sheet attached to the filing.
