In this letter to a judge, a top prosecutor details the new evidence casting doubt on Raymond Lee Jennings’ guilt

In June 2016, Chief Deputy Dist. Atty. John Spillane wrote a let­ter to the court un­der seal ex­plain­ing new evid­ence that cast doubt on Ray­mond Lee Jen­nings’ guilt. In the let­ter, which was un­sealed earli­er this year, Spillane wrote that the new evid­ence sug­gests that Michelle O’Keefe “may have been killed by gang mem­bers dur­ing a rob­bery.”
