Recommendations from Justice Reinvestment Committee

A spe­cial com­mit­tee cre­ated last fall amid es­cal­at­ing fed­er­al or­ders to im­prove pris­on con­di­tions and re­duce crowding is call­ing for in­creases in the ser­vices and spend­ing the state de­votes to re­hab­il­it­a­tion ef­forts in the com­munity and post-pris­on work pro­grams.
