Ron Holmes sentencing brief

The fath­er of former UCLA bas­ket­ball play­er Shabazz Muhammad will be sen­tenced in fed­er­al court Thursday after plead­ing guilty to con­spir­acy to com­mit fed­er­al fraud. A sen­ten­cing brief filed last week said that Ron Holmes told the FBI that he re­ceived a loan against his son’s pro­jec­ted pro­fes­sion­al earn­ings. Such an ar­range­ment could vi­ol­ate NCAA rules.
