Roosevelt John­son was re­cently pro­moted to the rank of com­mand­er at the Los Angeles County Sher­iff’s De­part­ment. In 2015, when he was cap­tain over the Santa Clar­ita Val­ley Sta­tion, he wrote an email to depu­ties and ad­dress­ing their com­plaints over his hand­ling of an ar­rest.
