Safety violation notice against site of fatal Berkeley balcony collapse

A pub­lic safety of­fi­cial in Feb­ru­ary warned own­ers of a Berke­ley apart­ment com­plex of po­ten­tial code vi­ol­a­tions that re­mained un­re­solved. Six people died at the com­plex early Tues­day when the fourth-floor bal­cony they were stand­ing on col­lapsed.
