Schwarzenegger’s actions on state parole board decisions
Former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger overturned the parole board’s decisions to free 285 inmates in 2009, the last year for which complete records are available. Of those, 29 participated in a crime that left a victim dead but did not deliver the fatal blow themselves. Eleven had no previous criminal convictions.
