D.A.’s memo about the shooting of Redel Jones

Read what pro­sec­utors said about the fatal shoot­ing of Re­del Jones by LAPD Of­ficer Brett Ramirez. A memo made pub­lic Tues­day re­vealed that pro­sec­utors would not seek crim­in­al charges against Ramirez, who shot and killed Jones in a South L.A. al­ley in 2015. Au­thor­it­ies say Jones was armed with a knife and was sus­pec­ted of rob­bing a phar­macy about a half-hour be­fore she was killed.
