State Controller’s Audit of Montebello
The California State Controller’s Office on Nov. 1 released the results of the third out of four audits of the city of Montebello. This audit examined the city’s use of state and federal funds. Auditors found that an engineering firm at the center of a federal bribery investigation awarded about $2 million in contracts to itself under a questionable arrangement with the city.
