Liz Taylor and Richard Burton return from Mexico

On Jan. 23, 1964, The Times re­por­ted the ar­rival at LAX of Liz Taylor and Richard Bur­ton who were met by a mass of pho­to­graph­ers, re­port­ers and fans. They were em­broiled in an af­fair that began on the set of “Cleo­patra.”
