This is be­lieved to be the first ju­di­cial rul­ing in re­cent years to find that a uni­versity failed to provide a fair tri­al in a sexu­al mis­con­duct case. Some leg­al ex­perts say the find­ing could have a broad na­tion­al im­pact.
