Use-of-force at Men’s Central Jail
Deputies assigned to the third floor of Men’s Central Jail had the highest number of use-of-force incidents against inmates during a recent four-year period compared to other areas of the downtown Los Angeles facility. The distinction, however, does not necessarily indicate force there is excessive. The floor houses inmates with more violent histories, officials say.
