White House NSA policy directive

Pres­id­ent Obama is­sued this policy dir­ect­ive Fri­day as part of on­go­ing ef­forts to al­lay con­cerns about the data col­lec­tion prac­tices of the Na­tion­al Se­cur­ity Agency and oth­er in­tel­li­gence agen­cies, while calm­ing those up in arms over pos­sible changes to na­tion­al se­cur­ity pro­grams.
